With purples skies I added film grain filter and used the selective color adjustment. So I adjusted the color(gray) and then made the image a smart object and added the film grain filter. Then I masked out the film grain effect at the bottom.
With blue skies I just simply added a adjustment layer(selective color). And made the image whole image a little littler and then just masked out the effect on the forground to make it darker
